Functional Prototype  ·  Chassis Only  ·  $5 Refundable Reservation

Work does not wait
for a desk.

M∆NTLE is a deployable workstation chassis for professionals who move between offices, vehicles, airports, and client sites.

Functional prototype shown. Chassis only. No proprietary electronics required.

Open. Position. Work.

Prototype deployment from carry mode to a full laptop and second-screen workstation. Same sequence, every time, wherever the work happens. Final production details may vary.

Prototype deployed Functional prototype shown

Designed for sub-10-second deployment

Open, seat your laptop, position your second screen. No assembly. No searching for parts. Prototype shown — final production sequence may vary.

Laptop and second screen, in one carry

Supports portable monitors and tablets as a second display. One chassis, one carry, both workflows.

Consistent across every location

Hotel desk. Client conference room. Coworking lounge. The deployment sequence is identical everywhere. No re-learning. No improvising.

Expansion by design

M∆NTLE is being developed with structural mounting zones for future accessories, display support, and workstation configurations. Final interface standards confirmed before production.

Mobile work still looks improvised.

The issue is not the professional. It is the environment. Airports, vehicles, hotel desks, and client sites were never designed for serious mobile work. The gear is capable. The setup is not.

Typical mobile workstation setup — laptop, second screen, cables, and stands as loose parts

Capable tools, no structure. M∆NTLE turns the same gear into a repeatable workstation ritual: Open. Position. Work.

A workstation chassis.
Not another laptop case.

M∆NTLE is not a protective shell or a premium bag. It is a structural chassis that organizes the gear you already use and deploys it as a repeatable workstation — wherever the work needs to happen.

A protective case holds gear. M∆NTLE positions it. The distinction matters for price, use case, and who it is designed for. It is built for mobile professionals who need a setup that performs — not one that merely protects.

The chassis. Not the electronics.

Included with Core

  • Attaché-style structural chassis
  • Precision hinge, latch, and handle hardware
  • Laptop retention and crossbar stabilization
  • Second-screen support system (tablet and portable monitor)
  • Cable routing and cable discipline channels
  • Structural mounting zones for accessories and expansion hardware

Not included

  • Laptop (bring your own)
  • Portable monitor or tablet (bring your own)
  • Cables, power adapters, or docking hardware
  • Battery or power module (possible future module)
  • Creator or vehicle accessories (possible future modules)
No proprietary electronics required. M∆NTLE works with your current Mac, PC, or Linux laptop and your current portable screen. The chassis organizes and deploys your gear. It does not replace it.

Designed to go where you work.

Targeting airline personal-item limits

M∆NTLE Core is being designed to target common airline personal-item size limits — intended to travel with you, not as checked gear. Final dimensions to be confirmed before production. Airline rules vary by carrier and fare class. Always verify with your specific carrier before travel.

One carry for a full workstation

Laptop, second screen, cables, and accessories — organized and protected in a single attaché form factor. Arrive at any location and deploy immediately.

A more usable viewing position

Laptop-only work forces a compromised screen position. M∆NTLE supports a second screen placed in a deliberate position — reducing improvised setups and supporting a cleaner working posture across any surface. Not a medical device. Individual ergonomics vary.

Consistent across every location

Hotel desk. Client conference room. Coworking lounge. The deployment sequence is identical everywhere. No re-learning. No improvising.

Built to the standard of the work.

M∆NTLE Core is being developed around an impact-resistant technical shell and precision aluminum structural chassis. Final specifications will be confirmed before production.

Shell

Impact-resistant technical polymer

Targeting strong impact resistance, dimensional stability, and a clean cosmetic finish — intended to handle the demands of daily travel without cracking or warping.

Frame

Precision aluminum structure

The internal chassis is being developed around machined aluminum — intended to provide rigidity and a premium tactile quality, stable under load and consistent across temperatures.

Hardware

Precision hinge, latch, and handle

The details that are touched most — hinge action, latch feel, handle weight — are being designed to the standard of professional carry equipment. Final hardware specs to be confirmed.

The prototype proves the system.
The production design refines the object.

M∆NTLE is currently a functional prototype. The production design is being refined around finish, hardware, materials, manufacturability, and the visual standard expected from professional carry equipment.

Built by someone who needed it

M∆NTLE was designed by Marcus — a former aviation systems technician and current telecom operations professional who needed a more credible way to work between offices, vehicles, client sites, and temporary spaces that were never built for serious work.

The problem is not a lack of good gear. It is the absence of a system that carries it, protects it, and deploys it consistently. M∆NTLE is the product that did not exist.

Functional prototype built and tested. Production design in development.

Frequently asked.

What is included in M∆NTLE Core?

M∆NTLE Core is the chassis only: the structural case, hinge, latch, handle, laptop retention, second-screen support, cable management channels, and structural mounting zones for future accessories. It does not include a laptop, portable monitor, tablet, cables, or any other electronics. You bring your own gear and deploy it in M∆NTLE.

What laptops and screens are compatible?

M∆NTLE is brand-agnostic by design. It is being designed for the most common laptop sizes (approximately 13" to 16") across Mac, Windows, and Linux platforms, and for typical portable monitor and tablet sizes used as second screens. Final compatibility specifications will be confirmed when production specifications are announced to reservation holders.

Will it fit as an airline personal item?

M∆NTLE Core is being designed to target common airline personal-item size limits — not carry-on overhead dimensions. Final dimensions will be confirmed before production. Airline rules vary significantly by carrier, fare class, and route. Always verify with your specific carrier. The intent is that M∆NTLE travels with you as a personal item, not as checked gear.

What is the $5 Founder Reservation?

A $5 refundable deposit that holds your place in the first production run. It is not a preorder — no ship date is being committed at this stage. Your deposit applies toward your final purchase if you choose to proceed. It is fully refundable until production specifications, materials, and timing are confirmed. At that point, reservation holders will be invited to confirm or cancel before any further charges occur.

How do I get my $5 refunded?

Email marcus@takemantle.com with your reservation ID (included in your confirmation email). Refunds are processed within a few business days. Your deposit is refundable at any point before production confirmation.

When will M∆NTLE ship?

A confirmed ship date has not been announced. This is a pre-production reservation, not a preorder. When production timing, materials, and final specifications are confirmed, reservation holders will be notified first and given the opportunity to confirm their order or receive a full refund before production begins.

What future modules and accessories are planned?

Possible future expansions include vehicle mounting systems, battery modules, additional display configurations, and creator accessories. None of these are included in Core and none are being sold at this stage. Core is being developed with structural mounting zones so future accessories can attach cleanly when they are ready. Final interface standards will be confirmed before production.

Why $5 and not free?

The $5 reservation separates casual interest from serious demand. It is fully refundable, applies toward your purchase if you proceed, and helps prioritize the first production configuration around the people most likely to use M∆NTLE. If the product is not right for you at launch, your deposit is returned — no questions asked.

The platform

Built as a chassis, not a one-off case.

Core is the first expression of the M∆NTLE platform. The first job is to make the core workstation experience credible, repeatable, and travel-ready. Future extensions — display configurations, carry options, power modules — may build from there. None are being sold at this stage.
